Abhinaya in Surya’s 7am Arivu

Actress Abhinaya is set to be a part of Murugadoss’s 7am Arivu with Surya and Shruti Hassan. The hearing and speech impaired actress got positive reviews for her roles in Naadodigal and Easan. Murugadoss had seen her performances and felt that she was the perfect choice for his second female lead.

Murugadoss and Abhinaya recently met at a school function and the director immediately asked Abhinaya that she would be interested in doing a role in his upcoming film with Surya. Abhinaya said her willingness immediately and the scenes involving Abhinaya and Surya are likely to be shot in Chennai by the end of the this month

Mani Ratnam, Rahman and Sachin: Demigods unite

For the first time in history, ace director Mani Ratnam, Oscar winning musician A.R. Rahman and cricket’s demigod Sachin Tendulkar will team up for a short film. Dharani is working on the Dabangg remake with Silambarasan giving him the go-ahead. He has initially planned to rope in Bollywood beauty Sonam Kapoor to play STR’s ladylove, but she declined the offer. Now, Dharani seems to be eyeing Anushka or Ileana for the remake. While Ileana is busy with Nanban directed by Shankar, Anushka is in her hometown Bengaluru following the IT raids at her residence in Hyderabad.

It is well known that Shankar takes time to complete a film. So, Ileana seems to be doubtful at the moment

Kavya’s re-entry

Kavya Madhavan is back to acting after a very short married life. The actress currently has a couple of Malayalam films on hands and some more good opportunities are knocking her doors. Speaking about her re-entry, Kavya says she is also looking for offers in Kollywood as Tamil cinema is known for trying out novel ideas and making them a success.

The actress’s latest release Gadhama was a critically acclaimed film and her performance in it won her accolades. In Gadhama, Kavya plays a maid servant in the Middle East and the film is about her travails in the hands of her employers.
